About Us
The Brigade of Honor is a Final Fantasy XIV Free Company and Multigaming Guild built on the belief that everyone deserves a place to belong and call home.
Our Story
A True Family of Like-Minded People
The story of the Brigade of Honor began on May 20th, 2000, as the Knights of the Burning Hell — founded by guild leader Paulofheaven, who was 16 years old at the time and looking to create a style of gaming family not easily found elsewhere. A few years later, he decided the guild needed a name rebrand. After several suggestions were taken from various members, it was agreed that the name thought up by member Sioken Kenshin would be selected. That day, the Brigade of Honor became our new and much friendlier-sounding name.
Over our long history, we have played Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, World of Warcraft, Black Desert Online, Ragnarok Online 1 & 2, Guild Wars 2, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Rift, and Warhammer Online. Our current primary MMORPG is Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, played on the Primal Datacenter on the Ultros server. We own a Mansion in the Guild Housing District of the Mist, Ward 7, Plot 2.
We also have a dedicated server running Minecraft Java Edition hosting the Ultimate Create modpack team. Starting March 2026, the Brigade of Honor officially expanded to a Hytale and Counter Strike 2 server in Asia for our Filipino members, with further servers on the way. We have begun supporting Web 3 games and look forward to expanding Play to Earn games as an official BoH division.
Many of our guild officers have held responsible positions for well over 10 years. Paulofheaven has spent well in excess of $400,000 USD over 26 years on this guild and its members — a testament to his devotion, hard work, and dedication. In his eyes, taking care of his members is the most vital duty of a guild leader. With this outlook, he has made lifelong friends and a beloved second family.
With most guilds lasting only about 6 months, we are truly blessed to have not only lasted 26 years but thrived with a wonderful, diverse, and international team of players. We are proudly LGBT-Friendly, with members of this community in the ranks and in senior leadership positions.
Our guild logo is copyrighted under registration number VAu001404276 with the U.S. Copyright Office. On May 20th, 2025, the Brigade of Honor proudly celebrated its 25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary. With the first 26 years behind us, we look forward to the next 26 with excitement and anticipation.

Ranks & Hierarchy
Guild Structure
Guildmaster
The founder and leader of the Brigade of Honor, guiding the guild with vision, devotion, and unwavering dedication for over 26 years. He has final authority on all guild policy, day to day operations and personnel decisions.
High Paragon
The most trusted officer of the guild - long-serving veteran who serves as the Guildmaster's right hand and upholds the guild's highest ideals. The second in command of BoH oversees all Paragons and ensures cohesion between departments.
Paragon
Senior officers who lead by example, mentor members, and help shape the direction of the guild across all its activities. Equivalent of General Officer / Department Heads and leads a division (HR, PvE, PvP, Crafting, Community, etc.) They also enjoy a high degree of autonomy and trust.
Councilor
Senior officers and advisors who contribute to guild policy, event planning, and key decisions with wisdom earned through years of service. Advises department heads and helps shape policy and long-term direction.
High Warden
Experienced officers responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and supporting guild members across multiple games and divisions. Oversees multiple Wardens, handles conflict resolution and ensures consistency in standards.
Warden
The backbone of guild operations - organizing activities, welcoming new members, and keeping the community thriving. Junior Officers, who specialize in a particular field of expertise within the guild. They also Mentors Stewards to ensure they will be ready to become Wardens themselves one day.
Steward
Trusted members who are Officers-in-Training and hold an entry-level leadership position. Oversees Wayfarers and all Adventurers and is evaluated for maturity and reliability as well as suitability for higher rank.
Veteran Adventurer
Long-standing members who have proven their loyalty and commitment to the Brigade through years of service. This is the natural 'resting rank' most members reach as it holds no leadership duties and is highly respected by all members.
Adventurer
Full members of the Brigade who have earned their place and actively participate in guild life and activities. Full guild rights and a core member of the community.
Wayfarer
New recruits finding their footing in the guild. Wayfarers are welcomed warmly and guided toward becoming full members. Probationary member and is tasked with learning rules, culture, and expectations.
